Vitamin E acetate (tocopheryl acetate) -
There’s some controversy out there about this version of Vitamin E and it's worth taking a second look at the science backing it’s safety and efficacy. Tocopherol is the scientific name for Vitamin E and the word acetate is attached to indicate that this particular type of Vitamin E as an acidic property added to it in order to stabilize the vitamin E oil. The more stable the oil is the longer it lasts in the product, the longer you can reap the benefits of it. Vitamin E can be derived from petrochemical sources...yuck! Or, as our’s is, it can be extracted naturally from several plant sources that inherently contain high levels of the antioxidants. Vitamin E acetate has also been shown to protect against ultraviolet radiation-induced skin damage, which is another benefit to adding the antioxidant to our body creme.
